Day 1 - Boat ride on the Colombo-Negombo chanenls

Welcome to the island of smiles ! you will be welcomed at the airport by your guide. You’ll leave for Negombo and settle down into your hotel. Dive into the hotel’s swimming pool and relax. The time has come to gather as a real family. Take the opportunity of these joint relaxation moments to go see the beaches’ golden sand. Have fun during a boat trip on the channel and discover the tropical environment.

Day 2- With the Millenium Elephant Foundation's elephants

This morning, go discover Negombo’s fish market. One of the most coloured and animated of the island ! You’ll then see the Millenium Elephant Foundation’s elephants closely. You can observe the pachyderms while they bathe. You will help to wash and care about them. It’s a strong moment of your trip on the island. You will then visit a surprising paper mill which recycles elephant waste to produce small notebooks.

Day 3- Climbing Sigiriya's Lion Rock

Early in the morning, you leave for the Lion Rock. It’s Sri Lanka most visited site, and it’s also registered at UNESCO’s world heritage program. While you admire the murals of the Sigiriya Ladies, your kids can’t wait to reach the top of the Lion Rock’s summit which culminates at 370m. The citadel’s ruins and especially a beautiful sight of the gardens near the rock await you.

Day 4 - Pick-nick at Kandy's botanic garden

After breakfast, you’ll visit the botanic garden of Peradeniya. The flowerbeds and trees bending under the bat’s weight will impress you. Take the opportunity of this natural environment to pick-nick in the middle of Sri Lankan families. You will then discover the Temple of the Tooth in the ancient royal palace where one of the Buddha’s canines are conserved. Kandy and the temple of the Tooth are sacred places of Buddhist pilgrimages. You will be stunned by the fervour of the believing crowd. Begin your evening with a kandyan dance spectacle, the traditional deans of the kandyan cultural heritage. Let yourself be enchanted by the music’s rhythm and the dancer’s ballets.

Day 5 - Rafting on the streams of Kitulgala

It might happen that this place makes you remember something. It’s indeed there that The bridge of the river Kwaï was filmed. You soar down Kelani Ganga’s rapids while doing a rafting descent. Enjoy these moments of pure happiness with your family at the heart of spectacular forest gorges !

Day 6 - In the tea plantations of Nuwara Eliya

In the morning, a steam train takes you to Nanu Oya. Enjoy its smooth rhythm and appreciate these incredibly beautiful landscapes. This trip will delight children and parents by a privileged contact with the local population. You reach Nuwara Eliya, surrounded with tea plantations on the nearby hills. Appreciate a ride in tuk-tuk in this green ocean and take the opportunity to try yourself at traditional tea picking. This will be fun for the whole family ! On the way, you’ll stop by the tea factory where you will learn the basics of tea fabrication. And while the tea still infuses inside of you, the Ramboda chutes will enchant you.

Day 7 - Safari in the heart of Uda Walawe's national park jungle

This morning, you will be heading towards the national park of Uda Walawe, an authentic natural treasure renowned for its greatly varied fauna. Accompanied by a naturalist guide, you’ll explore those lands during a safari aboard a jeep. You will encounter herds of wild elephants, bears, monkeys, wild buffaloes, a multitude of birds and a quantity of multicoloured butterflies.

Day 8 - Visiting the Galle citadel

On this day, you will discover the city of Galle. Ancient Portuguese then Dutch port and demonstration of European colonial strength in Asia, the fortified city of Galle shelters a fortress registered to UNESCO’s world heritage program. Riding a boat on the Madu river will fully entertain you with the discovery of the mangrove. Or taste freedom during a bike trip on the trails of the nearby landscape. On the way you’ll visit the Sea Turtle Conservation Project, a laying and preservation site of sea turtles in Kosgoda. Sri Lanka’s most ancient incubator participates in their protection .

Day 9 - Bentota's nautical pleasures

Today, you get to roam the magnificent beaches of Bentota. You have the occasion to relax and ease up and breathe in the ocean’s air. You can get initiated to numerous nautical activities like water skiing. A wide range of activities will entice people of all ages !
